Born in Pietermaritzburg, Cornelia heads up her own Spanish Flamenco dance company, Alma Flamenco, based in Hilton. Known as Catarina Perona in the professional dancing circles, she started Spanish dancing at the age of 8. Her love for this passionate art form takes her to Spain regularly, where she dances with the legendary Antonio Andrade and Ursula Moreno.
