The storm whose effect we are still feeling in Hilton also ripped out a beloved old oak tree on the St Anne's Diocesan College grounds last Sunday, the tree fell across a road.
Despite all the damage Hilton's community spirit has been bouyed by emapthy, support and humour shared. Hot showers have even been offered by local Bed and Breakfasts who have space, their only requisite being that you call first so they can switch their geysers on.
