World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2011 and St Anne's shared their activity with us...'We are so privileged as St Anne's to have a wetland on our school property, so it was there that we held our Sunday morning chapel service. We had some "active" worship. The girls in each house had to work together in harmony if they did not want to fall over in a group sit activity. When we work in harmony with nature there is balance, but where we do our own thing imbalance occurs and all comes crashing down.
We listened to words from the psalms and a challenging poem on the impact of humans on the environment. We ended in silence, taking time to contemplate the beauty of God's creation and to respond to the challenges that were awakened in our spirits.' Photograph Supplied.
