Once again the League matches yielded a mixture of results. The ladies played against Umgeni Waterfall and finished on peels, but dropped the bonus points, going down 5 -8 overall. The men’s 3rd side travelled to Mooi River and were beaten 2 – 11. The 2nd men’s team won against Alexandra Park by 10 – 3. The second rink started their afternoon with 7 shots on the first end, then hung on to take two skins. We were sorry to hear that John Pattrick (drowning his sorrows?) on Sunday had a fall, and has broken a wrist and will be unable to play bowls for some weeks. Best wishes, John for a full recovery.
Thelma Mylne and Margie Garrard played some good bowls in the NIBA Ladies Open Pairs quarter finals but ultimately lost the match 24 – 27 having had a substantial lead at tea-time. Well done, ladies.
The management of The Terrace Restaurant has informed us that they are discontinuing their sponsorship. We are sorry to see you go, but thank you for the support over the past few months.

The list for “Bill’s Extra Bash” which will precede the AGM on Thursday 11 February is virtually full, but here may be room for a few reserves.
