Grace College pupil, Michael Van Wyngaard in Grade 11, participated in a Drakensberg Grand Traverse over the December holidays, covering a route of approximately 297km. Aged 14 years and 10 months at the time, he broke the record for being the youngest person to complete this journey. The previous record, which has stood since 1997, was 15years and 2 months.
