Thank you to Chris Lake for sharing his photo taken of the structure at Highcroft which is reputed to be the first school room utilised for Hilton Road School from 1903.This corrugated iron building would have been completed in around 1895/6. At one time Highcroft was home to Mr IJ Van der Vyver, once a principal of Laddsworth Primary School. Laddsworth celebrated their 113th birthday on 1 March 2016.
This quaint building is testimony to modest beginnings of Hilton's reputation for educational excellence.
