Andrew Giles aka Chef Andrew was a perfect host for our networking evening at La Rose, we indulged in delicious snacks including crayfish blinis. The savouries were beautifully finished with mini chocolate brownies and meringues, green for St Patrick’s Day. The heavens exploded as networkers were about to leave so our gallant host, Andrew, hauled out mugs so we could enjoy something warm to drink while we waited for the welcome downpour to abate.
The comfortable venue at La Rose Wedding and Events Venue lends itself to almost any configuration of big or small event with an indoor bar, braai and expansive outdoor area. Andrew grows some of his own fruit, vegetables and herbs on the farm and besides offering open evenings and cooking demos he enjoys consulting to other restaurants. In line with growing local, sourcing local and supporting local, Andrews promotional item for La Rose epitomised the results we aim to achieve through networking, he presented a cheese hamper from Graceland Cheese in Winterskloof.
Our storyteller of the evening was Ivan Marx from Hilton Travel, his tale had everyone’s rapt attention. Be warned, we do not advise self-planned holidays to exotic destinations! Please pay these local travel agents at the Lower Quarry Centre a visit to hear why.
