Artisan’s Pizza and Pasta continue to support our club for which we are extremely grateful. The competition last week was won by Brian and Pam Ravno playing with Bernice Shaw. The second team with Hugh Barr, Bob Mitchell and Charles Carr won vouchers from Ninos. Lucky draw prizes also from Ninos awarded per position in the team were as follows: Skip – Gert Snyman. Second – Geoff Shaw. Lead – Neil Tainton. Many thanks to Ninos and Artisan’s and to the enthusiastic bowlers who make these events such fun.On Saturday we played for chickens supplied by Hilton Quarry Super Spar. The draw included a cut-throat that was won by Angus Snowden. The winners of the trips were Tom Hartley, Olga Hutt and Mike Guest.
Heavy mist closed in after tea and games were completed with almost invisible jacks.
The Committee has decided to run a fun tournament on Easter Saturday. Teams will be drawn on a normal tabs-in basis and while the focus will be good quality bowling other novel ideas will be used to maintain interest through the afternoon.
