Please be advised that as of 1 July 2016 the new financial year commenced. The application fee for a clearance certificate, is R 296.00 plus Vat = R 337.44.Full rates for the year 16/17 became due and payable from 1 July 2016, so please adjust your payments accordingly.
At present, as is the case every year, no statements can be run until the new rates are loaded and the valuation roll locked. Every effort is being made to ensure that this process is completed as soon as possible. New applications and certificates are still being processed but due to staff shortages there is a small backlog. Conveyancers are reminded that all statements that expired on 30 June 2016 will require new applications, regardless of any extenuating circumstances. No extension can be given on a certificate where the statement has expired.
