Doray Vallo of the Msunduzi Municipal Electricity Dept. has asked for some assistance.There have been some electricity outages in Hilton recently which apparently were a direct result of tree branches falling on overhead power lines thus tripping out the nearby mini-subs.
Doray has asked for local residents to be approached to trim trees hanging over or near overhead power lines.
This has been a problem in the past and to an extent was ameliorated by judicious trimming, but trees grow and the exercise needs to be carried out again.
The HRA will also contact our Councillors to request the Municipality to assist.
