Umgeni Water will be undertaking essential infrastructure maintenance, which will require a 30-hour shutdown from tomorrow, September 22 to September 23. This maintenance is to ensure security of supply into the future. A contingency plan is in place – the city’s reservoirs are currently full and, barring any unforseen contingencies, the city should have sufficient water for up to 48 hours. The Msunduzi Municipality is appealing to residents to use water conservatively and not deplete reserves unnecessarily.News supplied by PCB.
