A big cheer goes out to all our Hilton Covered Edition 5 advertisers who made another R10,000.00 donation possible. Thank you so much! The Hilton Cares motivation which received the most votes was Singakwenza.
Singakwenza builds sustainable Early Childhood Education in economically disadvantaged communities, using resources made solely from recycling.
‘R10 000.00 will enable us to run 4 of our fun, hands-on Waste 2 Toys workshops in and around Hilton, teaching up to 120 carers of young children how to make their own educational toys using household packaging that is usually thrown away. At these 3 hour training workshops, we focus on the importance of a child learning through play and the role that the caregiver, parent, educator or community worker has in the education of a young child.
Carers are empowered with the knowledge and materials needed to help build some of the vital foundations of education.’ said the Singakwenza team spokesperson.
