Another year has drawn to a close and, as we reflect on the number of lives that our programmes have touched, we are so grateful that we have the opportunity to work in this space. Through the fantastic support of our donors and supporters and the hard work from our amazing team, we have had a huge impact on thousands of adults and children in this beautiful country of ours.We have trained and mentored 64 caregivers in 16 crèches, and 1 150 children have completed this year’s Early Education programme. We have run 56 Waste 2 Toys workshops throughout South Africa, teaching 1 392 parents, caregivers and communities how to use recycling to make educational toys and materials, to enable the 17 205 children in their care to experience the joy of learning through play. How special to be able to change lives in this way!
