Take the N3 to Hilton, take the Hilton turnoff and go South into the Village (away from Hilton College). Travel 5,2km along Hilton Avenue (past two sets of traffic lights and Crossways Pub) and keep going straight as Hilton Avenue turns into Dennis Shepstone Drive.
At the 5,2km mark, Knoll Drive will be on your right – the entrance to MiTH is the *second* entrance on your left into The Knoll Historic Guest Farm.

The Vast Oddity is a two-piece band with influences of rock, folk, reggae and trippy vibes. Their music taste is vast and odd, apparently!
7.30pm – Fiona Tozer
Fiona Tozer is one of South Africa’s longest-standing folk performers, with a story dating back to the KZN folk clubs of the seventies and eighties. She has been a regular at Splashy Fen for years. The new millennium brought a change of course with a dalliance in jazz and, subsequently, a masters degree in composition in 2008. Since then has had several commissions to compose works for various ensembles, including the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Orchestra. She continues to do folk gigs, and is once more concentrating on performance and composition.

If you've been looking for a musician who can really play the blues, look no further than Durban's own Rusty Red. Over the last few years, Rusty Red has been honing his skills with an array of formidable acts such as The Black Lapels and Splashy Fen legends, The Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters. Rusty has even been seen sharing the stage with South African Blues / Rock guitar guru Larry Amos as well as opening for Dan Patlansky when he was only 18 years old.
Along with solid guitar wizardry and emotive vocals, and combined with the unshakeable rhythmic talents of Skippy Kubheka on bass and Chris Melling on the drums, Rusty Red is wandering dangerously close to the territory of some of the most legendary blues acts of the previous century and, not mentioning any names, South Africa's very own home-grown legends.

Rusty Red, Chris Melling and Skippy Kubheka features Clapton’s greatest hits from his early days in Cream, The Yardbirds and as a solo artist. Drawing inspiration from BB King, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters, among other Blues legends, Clapton’s career has spanned more than four decades and has earned him a triple induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His influence and collaborations have earned him 18 Grammy Awards. Fans of Clapton’s music can look forward to these local bluesmen performing hits like Before you accuse me, Lay down Sally, Crossroads, Change the World, Pride and Joy, Little Wing, Wonderful tonight, Slow Dancing in a burning room and more.

Laddsworth Primary School played cricket fixtures against Clarendon Primary School over the weekend.
Spoil yourself or someone you love this December with these specials from 
St Anne’s Matrics celebrate the end of their final exams by releasing homing pigeons as a symbol of taking flight and moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Andre Booysen, owner of the birds and cross country coach at St Anne’s, noted at the special occasion how much he would miss this group of talented girls. The celebration ended with the girls kicking off their school shoes (to be donated to the STEPP partnerships) and leaving campus for the last time in muddy socks.
During 2017 Nashua played a valuable role in our school rugby growth through their rugby skills programme which brought two vibrant training session to our sports fields. Our rugby players enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of the Nashua teams at both events. Wandile Mbekeni in Grade 10 delivered a record breaking catch and pass routine during the training. On comparing statistics from the second session with the first, Wandile showed the greatest improvement of all our rugby players. In acknowledgement of this achievement he was presented with a new pair of rugby boots today by JP Du Toit, the Nashua Pietermaritzburg sales director.

Channell Da Rosa in Grade 11 at Grace College participated in the Jump City Stadium Dash with her family in Durban on Saturday, 25 November, in wet rainy conditions. Channell finished in a time of 1:30:54, she was the 118 female finisher out of 379. This fun and challenging event comprises an inner city obstacle race, which takes competitors through an adrenaline pumping obstacle course.
On Friday 17 November 2017, the Laddsworth Grade Four pupils each made a doll for the iThemba Project.
If you have an incident of a criminal nature, please report it to your local SAPS. We are aware that procedures may take time, but the SAPS Station Commanders are aware of community concerns when reporting crimes and have been addressing them with their staff. I am sure that we will all see an improvement in the various charge offices as SAPS officials take heed of our concerns. Please note that KSS cannot open a case for you – YOU need to report and open your own cases with SAPS.
Katherine Beyrooti, a Grade 5 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School received a T-Shirt from Parkrun on Saturday 18 November 2017 for completing 50 Parkruns in 2017.
