Shannon Chetty is a 17-year-old musician from Howick, and attends Howick High. He is a guitar player and enjoys does mainly acoustic pop with the assistance of a loop station. Shannon’s biggest inspiration is his favorite artist - Ed Sheeran. This young performer began playing the guitar at the age of 13, has progressed steadily and is very passionate about music.
7.30pm – Kaiti Faul
Just back from Dallas, Texas, after a year of au pairing while studying through UNISA, Kaiti Faul is actually well-known to MiTH stalwarts. We welcome her back because she’s an awesome person, but also because she brings a strong vocal with a combination of originals and covers that exude honesty and deep musicality. Don’t miss her.
8.00pm – Duncan Park
Duncan Park is a psychedelic folk musician from Durban. His new album, "After the Earth Has Burned" is a musical collage built from stunning pastoral, finger-plucked folk on an acoustic guitar and harsh electric drones through synthesizers and amp stacks. Dunacn’s acoustic folk symbolizes the romanticised concept of the earth, the natural realm and tranquility, while the harsh electronic drones represent the industrialized, polluted and smog filled hellscape of modern urbanisation. He will be performing a stripped down solo set of acoustic guitar and vocals for the MiTH faithful.
9.00pm – Serrotone
MiTH also bids a warm welcome to main act, Serrotone. Peter Guthrie, vocalist and prolific songwriter with Spoonfeedas for 12 years, has teamed up with James Robertson and close friend, superb drummer Billy Kruger. Robertson who sang and wrote material for Spoonfeedas in 2001, also went on to form Cubic Inch. Between Guthrie and Robertson they have been part of writing and performing more than ten charting singles (including 2 no 1 singles and a handful of top 10's) on South African radio.
With Spoonfeedas, Guthrie has opened for artists like Muse, Velvet Revolver, SImple Plan Marky Ramone (Ramones), Metallica and Ronan Keating. He has also performed the National anthem in Christchurch NZ before a Trinations rugby test. Robertson has opened for Bryan Adams on his SA tour with his band Cubic Inch, while Billy has played with a variety of established artists at some impressive events like the Youth Day concert in Amsterdam with group MIC where they performed after Delirious at Ajax Football Stadium in front of 140 000 people.
A hugely special feature on Wednesday will be what has become the regular inclusion of Nick Ames who is possibly one of the finest trumpet players in South Africa. Don't miss this special night out! as you hear some new arrangements of old favourites and some brand-new material!

The Good Health Group is a recently formed group based in Howick. It is for individuals who want to take charge of their health and well-being. It has been initiated in order to support and empower people who want to take a more holistic approach and play a more active role in maintaining good health and/or in recovering from a particular health challenge. Emphasis is placed on the body-mind connection. At each monthly meeting a health practitioner is invited to present on a topic that has been chosen by members of the group. Q & A and/or a discussion of important points follows the presentation.

The South African Men’s Indoor Hockey Team recently held a training camp at St Anne’s Diocesan College in preparation for the Indoor World Cup which will be played in Berlin in February. Mr Robin Jones, newly-appointed staff member at St Anne’s and a member of the SA Team, explained that the Sports Centre offered the team an ideal playing surface as it is of a similar quality to the surfaces that they will play on at the World Cup.
